Well, whoever it was that requested backstory a little while ago will be happy. I love the way Phil had to ask his penguin what to do.
I love the look on Phil’s face in the second panel. “… giiiiiirrrllllll…. uh, what do? ;_;”
Then again, I’d probably be at a loss for words if a cute cat girl showed up at my door too, so it’s okay Phil. ^_^ -huggles-
Great in its own right, he didn’t have that prejudice that everyone else had about chimeras.
He’s Phil. His first concern is “It’s a girl”, his second concern “It’s a cute girl” and third concern “It’s a cute girl with nekomimi I can fangasm inside a little”.
Actually, in an earlier comic – I believe when Kate was talking about her past during the arc where her father showed up – there was a time when someone on a message board revealed that Kate was a Chimera and was trying to drum up heavy antagonism towards her, and the Admin ‘Sage’ banned the hater while making a positive comment regarding Kate. I’m pretty sure that was Phil.

No that was just a cameo. phil used his katbox name “sage” on that forum, so the only ones who got it were us, the readers :3
