That seems a little harsh but… Goblins prefer to eat humans and easy to fight humanoid races (Elves and Dwarves are not easy targets as elves are smart and almost all have some form of combat training, same goes for dwarves who specialize in fighting goblins and orcs, but gnomes and halflings…).
