Alchemist certainly aren’t the first choice for adventuring parties, but they are a mix of rogues, wizards, and even clerics- as they get the skills to disable traps and open locks, use magical items, create magic potions, and even get to have a few “spells” for support and healing if built right! They get even better later and become a lot more than just “kind of a rogue, kind of a wizard-“.
