Imo, Earth itself sealed the memories of what Hugo saw. Because as Lia said, what it showed him was basically torture for a gentle person like him. So it sealed the memories until he needs them, or will take control of him like Water did to Lia to share the information without him being aware.
possibly Earth just intends for a mind reader to collect the information so it doesn’t weigh heavily on hues mind.
Probably not the case but it would be kind of funny if what it is warning him about is thousands of years in the future, its sense of time is very different after all.
Earth seems to be the most grounded. Rather than give a landslide of information, it planted the information so it could grow in the fertile soil of his mind.
