So the Dirt that was moved back up to make Phil not fall is the same dirt that Hue used to make the dirt hole. So it is dirt, but it is also THE dirt. Which means it is the dirt……

Do you reckon he categorises different types of dirt like the rain god from Hitchhikers’ Guide? Dirt number 14, my old enemy…

No,, I’d say he Categorizes it more like The Mole from Disney’s Atlantis~

I hear that dirt number 14 is particularly unpleasant…

Ok, something I noticed/wondered about looking back at yesterday’s strip (and slightly related to this one): if Phil leaves the bit of ‘undone’ hole that he fell onto, does it go back to being a hole, or does it stay ‘undone’?
If it stays undone, it sounds like Phil’s power is actually ‘dispersing’ the magic, not just ‘nullifying’. If it goes back to being a hole, that would make it more of a temporary nullification (which seems to fit more with how his staff works I think?).
Hmm, complicated…. (also, seriously starting to wonder if Sage is familiar with Piers Anthony; a lot of similar treatments of magic, which is awesome).

No i am not familiar with Piers Anthony. I am also terrible with names while I have read a lot of books and comics, I only remember a few of the authors and artists XD

Heh. this reminds me of that TVtropes page, “retired badass” with the tramp and the little pup looking off into the middle of nowhere. kind of like he had no idea where anything was.

Aura will likely be flatline or normal, basically what you would expect in an area not dramatically effected by magic but where it still exists is my guess.
