I can’t tell if Axel’s play is smart or dumb? on the one hand he is going to get taken to whoever or whatever is hopefully causing all this, on the other he is basically getting captured on purpose?
Heck it works for James Bond, Matt Helm, and Derek Flint. Maybe John Steed and Mrs Peel too. Spy story villains always seem to monologue, not just shoot.

If you want to know where the villain is kidnapping people, the easiest way is to also get kidnaped.
