I don’t know many D&D products that get promoted on a Cruise line… XD The idea here is similar to “Play D&D in a Real Castle” or “D&D Bed and Breakfast”, it’s a themed cruise (haunted- not actually haunted, using real spirits would be way too dangerous!), where people play in a short D&D Campaign (3-5 sessions over 3-5 days) that is themed around a cruise mystery. Made of of a bunch of other groups, when the people arent playing they can talk with other players from other groups about their adventurers, which are all different but similar concepts.

In a bunch of these kinds of things there’s 2 ideas for how to handled them. 1, all the DMs run the same campaign, or 2, each DM comes up with their own campaign sometimes with a theme to bring them all together. Of the two, they can both be fun, but the ones where each DM gets to come up with their own I think is a little more interesting. It is fun to discuss how different groups handled the same thing differently, but having each DM create a campaign is a lot of work, it’s obviously more effort, but it let’s the DMs be more creative about their stories and makes it more unique. Which obviously lends itself more to people discussing their game with others.

Anywho- This is an ad for one of those because it’s provided by the same cruise line, so why not promote more of their own cruises to people who already are now known to be interested in going on a cruise? Just makes sense to promote it when it’s your own company and to people that already might be interested. It’s also a monitor so it scrolls through all sorts of things to get peoples attention. They probably have a bunch of different themed cruises.
