And also of the Dungeon Dimensions, whose denizens clustered around proper universes like moths around a candle, desperate to partake of the warmth and light, heedless of the fact that if they actually managed to break in, it’d be like the ocean trying to warm itself on a single candle flame.

But yeah, the intelligent behaviour – recognizably intellligent behaviour – from eldritch abominations is concerning.
If they get really clever, as I’ve theorized before, (and capable of doing so) they could build up numbers on the gas giants or the Kuyper belt objects, then launch a massive assault.
