The demoness is very protective of Axel. Even to the point of trying to protect him from himself. I like their relationship since even though she is a “succubus” they have a mostly friendship relationship rather than the more obvious one. XD

given that before they banished “big red”(the demon who was in axel) the first thing he did was setup axel as her master, i would assume there’s a bit more then her caring for him in this, possibly if axel dies she gets banished back to the darkworld(the demon realm, far as i recall it hasn’t been given an offical name) where she will probably end up the princes slave(“big red” was one of the princes if i recall right)
edit: and i agree with aussie bloke, him being her kindest master so far probably helps how much she cares for him
At this point, though, the only master we’re aware of her having is beyond Axel is the Big Red Daemon. She spoke to Pip as if they were equals more then a lesser to a greater, and Pip did comment at the time that she was acting like a Succubus, implying that this is out of character for her, whether by nature or previous actions. Honestly, I don’t think she’s a succubus, although her mannerisms and appearance (seriously, she is damn hot) would indicate otherwise.
I do like seeing that she does seem to care about Abel, and I don’t think that her concern is self-motivated. She genuinely likes him, as far as I can tell.
Then again, I’ve been shipping those two since Axel’s flashback, so my opinion may be somewhat biased. It’s definitely nice to see these two again, and really nice to see the Daemoness’ huge…. amounts of character development. That’s totally what I was going to say.
She is a “Succubus” actually. Though in some ways they try to associate her with the myth. She feeds on emotions, and she has a sweet tooth for jealousy, embarrassment and lust (and many other emotions actually- consider each one a different kinda meal to her. She may prefer a certain food but variety keeps it interesting XD).
But who is Pip? o_O?

the only other character THIS protective is Blue of her Harlem. Phil is almost but then again he just has to be human shield + hulk staff smash, hardly the same as tearing people to shreds, Kate need not worry about Phil, Lien is well Lien, the only thing Pen-pen is protective of is JELLO, his sense of humor and maybe his occasional evil demeanor. everyone else can protect themselves

I usually lurk around the other comics but some honest critique- almost all of your comic pages are waist-up shots of your characters in stale poses with either no background or a background with hardly any effort put in. I think you’d benefit greatly if you worked on that. Just my two cents.
Thanks, I am working on that, however unlike everyone else here, I maintain a 3 updates a week schedule. I do a lot of the standard poses and low key backgrounds for chatty scenes and spend more time on the action and fun scenes. I get a lot of practice with anatomy and characters in general, but backgrounds are something I know I am not good at so they always suffer a bit. I do try to put them in more often to set up a location and hopefully with more practice I’ll be as fast with backgrounds as I can be with characters.
