Obviously not the brains of the operation, but such a large and quick fire attack takes a lot of practice for a normal mage. Hope you all enjoyed the April fools-ness as well from Monday.
If you are wondering about the bonus comic, I was planning on working on it this past weekend. Unfortunately something had other plans and I had no other choice. Because that something was a tiny stomach virus that gave me 2 days of agony, sadness and sleeplessness! I’m doing great now besides still not being able to eat totally normally and some residual muscle pain.
Also working on stuff for the book and in another update closer to the date I’ll release stuff like the cover image.

I am officially announcing the 10th Year Anniversary Project for Yosh! later this year will be the 10th year anniversary for the comic! To celebrate it I am putting together a collection of artwork into a full color book. The estimated size of the book is between 42 and 52 pages, full color. It will include some brand new artwork just for the book from myself as well as some of my other artwork mostly from conventions and some of my favorite comics. The book will also feature artwork from other artists from the Katbox and beyond that will be made just for the book! Eventually I will put a list up of all the artist participating.
The price of the book will be 20 dollars plus shipping and handling and will be a limited printing! Once the printing is done no more copies will be printed! Also pre-orders will determine how many get printed! For example if 50 comics are preordered I will order around a total of 100 comics, 50 for the preorders and the other 50 to be sold at cons and some might be put online to sell.
All books will be signed and numbered! The preorders will be 1 through the number preordered! Then the rest will go to online and conventions.
The convention they will be sold at will be Nekocon in Hampton, VA in November! Hopefully I’ll be adding more convention trips for 2014 where I will sell whatever is left but that will be the first Convention they will be available. Currently we are trying to make sure that Ron (Nekonny), MasterGodai, Tom from 2Kinds and Tony (one of our friends and colorists) will be at the convention with us as well as Danny- because Danny always goes to Nekocon (It’s our local major convention XD)!

Using the blood to track them, shooting Toris’ lightning at the other guy. Axel is all about returning things to them.
If Axel returned the lightning attack at full power this might be the end for the unnamed fire mage.

Question is, is it more energy-effective to re-direct such spells, or just re-create them himself? (Oh, I’m thinking about this way too much aren’t I?)
no overthinking would be stating that the mage’s magic can be regenerated by sunlight and heat two easily found natural energy’s. also the fact that it is best to use the simpleest form of magic to get the best result, eg dont use giant fireball when redirecting the water in the pipes in the wall should do beter. because there is no magic in the water just enough to blow the pipe, axel can do nothing with it, a little fire in the right spot would blow the pipe heat in the watter tank will cause boiling and steam as well as heat eassy to use for the fire mage, basically this guy is a major nube to the rules of magic.

i know axel’s powers are demonic, but can they act like a black hole and absorb/trap attacks by other mages?
probably he absorbs the magical energy causing the attack, it would not stop water redirected from afar with no magic in it or a rolling boulder but fire lightning and pure magic would be easily absorbed by one who could use all four main forms of magic. simply put its not a hole but more like a mimic, he absorbs the energy and from the energy he learns how the spell was formed then uses the spell and the magic to attack latter
Actually it is more like a hole. He uses his magic to corrupt and redirect into a field he can create and hold in the demonic ether to use later so long as it hasn’t dispersed. It’s a lot like using ropes to tie something up and lock away- except the ropes are demonic magic and the something is a magic spell. Something as wild and large as a massive blast of flames takes a lot more time to corrupt (tie up) and control – and in that time you burn and die. For example- if you have a whip and someone is pointing a gun at you- and you do something crazy like get your whip wrapped around the barrel – a flick of your wrist might be enough to make a single shot miss. If it’s a shotgun though even if you manage to change the aim just a bit- you’ll probably still end up taking some buckshot.
Fire safety tip: When extinguishing a fire, aim for the source of the flame and not the flame itself.
