Well, I think it is more like taking a shortcut through the demon realm, sort of like the nether in minecraft where one block walked on the nether is the same as traveling 8 in overworld
“Transverse inter-dimensional portals in such a way that it cuts the total distance traveled” doesn’t sound as logical as “teleport.” But hey, magic.

Besides, my current mouse pad traps dirt/dust that rubs off onto my mouse’s Teflon “feet”, so I have to keep scraping them off.
