It is wrong, you shouldn’t let other people pressure you to go any faster than what feels comfortable to you. That goes for anyone and everyone.

I think Kate contradicts herself within the very same sentence in panel two. Is that meant so? She doesn’t exactly seem confused otherwise.
it’s not a contradiction. She’s saying its not the only thing important about a relationship, and then stating that even though its not the only thing, it’s still important, just not as much so to her. The wording is used to emphasize how she feels about it on both fronts.
