And of course, if you trust magic, no one can grow sick or old. Damn reality!

I think it would be less about trusting magic than it would be about trusting the magic users maintaining such a system to not take advantage to mind control the population into their slaves or other potential methods of abusing such services for other unethical purposes. Even if you trust the magic to work you can’t just assume that people won’t be evil.

I was stepping outside the bounds of suspension of disbelief in my refsponse to the comic. Therefore the reference to reality.

It wasn’t my intention to hurt someone’s immersion of fantasy, but at the same time you can’t suppose every viewer of this comic is into fantasy and speculation about fantasy. (Though I like science fiction, even sometimes soft unrealistic one.)
