Why do I find myself thinking about several times I’ve seen healing magic has been abused for offensive purposes in various fictional universes… With the way Phil’s magic is pretty smart, could it be outsmarted…
My favorite is from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, where basically a character tries to take out a bad guy by creatively using her advanced healing powers in a way that essentially gave him Super Cancer.

Wait has buff spells not been tested on him? As they are buffs and are helpful to him it should work. And would be easy to test. And if the spell doesn’t it would me there is somthing harmful to it. Like it may create a weakness like giving the caster a way to bypass so it was blocked.
