As the saying goes: “Happy wife, happy life!”

And Kate is very, very happy.

Phil’s hair looks longer and curlier than I’d expect even right after a shower, there might be a bit of a Kate biased filter on that third panel.
Not that anyone should complain about more beefcake in the cheesecake heavy comic 😉

As someone who had curlier hair when they were younger, you’d be surprised at just how curly the hair can get after a shower even with a quick towel dry, more so when you account for a hair dryer.

Unless you comb/brush it straight while it’s still moist, curly hair after a shower can become curly indeed (especially when it finally dries.)

Looking at the image in the banner, Phil’s Hair on this page is actually about as long as it normally is. Phil’s hair is just in a shape that normally makes the fact that it reaches behind his back something that is easily overlooked.

Though, it normally being straight and being mildly curly shortly after a shower is a bit surprising (as a male who has thin & primarily straight-hair, thus meaning that my viewpoint is primarily based on only my own hair that doesn’t do that).

Phil should tousle his hair more often. And maybe get different, more narrow glasses.
😳
I’m not into guys, and even I can see he looks hot in that panel.

You know, Phil in that panel has a physique reminiscent of David by Donatello. I think it’s neat.

That’s actually a common trope in anime. Though its typically the girls who go from mousy & flat chested to hot & busty the second they remove their jacket. Quite often you’re left going “no way could she hide that kind of a bust under a jacket without magic.”

For the guys its usually either this or its the same logic as the girls. “No way could he hide that much muscle under a jacket without magic.”

Bishie as in Bishonen. Roughly translated as pretty boy.

I’m not a native speaker of any of those languages, but web sources seems to agree that while it originated analogously to ancient Greek ruling class homosocial or homoerotic notions it was and is more androsocial or androerotic. And unlike the British term it is positive or neutral. [I’m reminded of the opposite uses of black/white colors.]

Aside from appreciating Phil getting his own good treatment this page (and Kate always looks good!), what I notice the most for some reason is Kate’s tail. Specifically, in panel 1 it’s in a ‘right > left > right’ curve (from our perspective), and then in panel 4 it seems to be in just about the exact same shape/position. I don’t imagine her tail is static and staying motionless, but seeing it mirrored THAT closely gives the illusion it it hasn’t changed. Was it just balancing her body/head being on the left and so the tail goes on the right both times, or do you have more of a system to track/manage how appendages like that move? I know this is probably pointlessly detailed, but it caught my eye somehow 😀
