Scary fast infection speed and transformation… Also, I notice this one did a lot better job at giving a clear scale of the size of the creature. The celestial from the previous pages could be the size of a basketball for as far as anyone knows because I never had anything in the image to compare the size to XD. Good example of a simple mistake T_T

Of course, what’s a trip to Japan without having to deal with a Kaiju scale problem!

Scary fast infection

I’m guessing the Outsider having fully digested how this world’s magic works, and Inari being such a potent source of it, it is burning their power up to fuel all this?

Seemed to make the most sense.

Also, sorry Sage. I had to clean out my old browser instance, and I had forgotten what “email address” I’d used last time. The whole domain points to my inbox, so I tend to just make up something funny for each site/person who needs to contact me. (:

Or better yet, Phil.

Ooh look, nine tentacles.

I like how this is still obviously a corrupted fox spirit, not just a generic cthulian monster

If a host has a particular advantage to offer, why cast it aside…?

Called Yuki making a rush to Phil but did not expect the scale of the problem to be quite THAT large. Gotta give Inari some credit if corruption leads to something that large that quickly because it takes a lot of power but also show just how terrifying outsiders are and how resistant to possession Axel is if he was able to hold infection like he did previously.

Also makes the angry sword swarm of murder SLIGHTLY more justifiable in the grand scheme of things. Now we have to worry about other collateral because something that big near that many people but Yuki freaking out about her child does make sense and let’s just hope that driving the outsider out doesn’t have any negative effects for Inari. Also assuming this doesn’t go drastically outside of the expected path I can see the apartments getting a notable fox population as Inari and Yuki both work to repay a “debt” to Phil (debt in quotations because I’m pretty sure Phil won’t see it that way but rather just as helping friends).

As intimidating as Inari’s size is, it’s also showcasing the distance involved. The real question here is how to get Phil TO Inari so that he can try to purge the outsider influence. Unless Phil’s power is going to abruptly manifest some form of ranged ability in response to this need, they may have to find a way to ‘launch’ him into close contact.

Of course the other option is the Outsider could start attacking the ship just because it’s a Kaiju now, bringing a hand/tail/etc within touching range. But if this outsider is actually intelligent enough, it may keep its distance.

Beyond that question, I do love the look of corrupted Inari! The only part that looks odd is the left (from our perspective) arm, feels like the elbow is bent in a strange direction.

They’re just going to throw Phil at the problem, literally.
Right?

A Kitsune with tentacle tails sounds familiar for some reason. Wicked cool art

If after subtracting all the corruption there isn’t enough left to make a grownup Inari, will Yuki need to spend the next few centuries re-raising / filling in for Inari, requiring Phil to find yet another celestial contact?
