Now Phil will finally get some practice in dealing with magic! But does Hue have any training in using a staff?

I think Hue looks pretty good with that staff, but he doesn’t look like he plans on using it much. Phil, on the other hand, looks like he’s the brightest light source in the room (and no, I don’t mean shading.)
What is up with those glasses?

Reflected light coming through the window at an Angle so less of it hits the wall to the right of Phil. The wall behind Phil is darker because I don’t know.

You know, I could go on about wanting this comic to go back to Blue and Nami, but I fear when we do, we’ll miss out on a LOT of things that may have potentially happened between them…

Time for Hue to be amazed when seeing phil’s ability! sure he knows what he is, but i doubt he would be prepeared for how it works.
also, awesome early update sage.

The question becomes how the Null deals when the earth below him tosses him into the air, and other fun things.
If I remember correctly, Phil once threw himself off of a balcony because the stairs were too slow, or something.

Tossing isn’t a problem, getting buried and suffocating on the other hand….
Well the point of the training is so that he won’t just be a Meat Aegis…

I understand that the Life and Death magi tend to stick strictly to their headquarters but it still seems like the other magi are getting a bit careless about being spotted in public with questionable acquaintances. It only takes one loyal servant of the evil magi to spot them practicing with a nullifying magic user to realize that they are associating with the “wrong” side.

Well this should be fun. I can imagine Phil completely crushing Hue’s magic, and then Hue being really impressed until Stephanie sends him flying off into the sea. Whistling sound effects at the ready!

best form of training for phil, who can nullify magic, is to spar against a magic user. now they have the right people for it.

I see a lot of comments saying that the magic of Hue wont be a danger to Phill, but I think earth is diferent to other kinds of magic, so Phill will learn that just expecting to use null abilities against magic will not be enough. or maybe I’m wrong

My thought runs like this: Hue picks up giant rock, levitates it above Phil, then lets go. Rock is not magical, nor is gravity. It might not harm Phil, but it WOULD trap him.
