Gotta love those wonderfully awkward conversations with people who need a little time and explaining to understand that different people place different values on different aspects of their respective relationships. ^_^;
My sister was dumbstruck when she discovered my girlfriend and I haven’t had sex yet. I love her a lot. We haven’t gone beyond kissing, yet people are trying to pressure us into sex. It seems wrong.
it’s not a contradiction. She’s saying its not the only thing important about a relationship, and then stating that even though its not the only thing, it’s still important, just not as much so to her. The wording is used to emphasize how she feels about it on both fronts.
