The sunset begins.
Technically – its Sunrise where they are. This is actually part of what i needed to look up for where the sunrise would be in the world at this time to have it behind her over an ocean when it’s before noon in Japan.
Thanks, yes, I hadn’t realized. But I was not thinking of the ambience. (Which looks awesome by the way, and Yuki’s character design really pays off here!)

So is Yuki calling this a fake because she “knows” Amaterasu” is in the Celestial Realm? Then if this is the real Amaterasu the implications could be scary.
Yuki had tea with Amaterasu the other day.(For a given value of day.)
Called it! Been saying for weeks that Takamagahara and the celestial realm were connected or the former was a religion specific name for the latter. Kind of makes me wonder if all the divine/heavenly realms are part of the celestial realm or if certain ones, Asgard for example, maintain a degree of separation or if they all overlap.
I also have to wonder if the spirit is reacting to Yuki’s name or if the call out that Amaterasu is in the celestial realms has shaken her. Lotta interesting potential threads to weave and pull from this to build more on the tapestry that is this setting. Looking forward to Monday’s comic to learn more.

Could the “Patron” be a tiny fragment or shadow of the real Amaratsu, left to do what good it was able while Earth’s magic field was too depleted for most celestial beings to manifest?
Possible, but I doubt it.

It’s unlikely but I’d find it really funny if she was a bunrei of Amaterasu to give Yuki a bit of a curve ball.
