Given the urgency of making sure the outsider didn’t leave escape/leave behind any nasty presents… I’m going to assume that
Transport Method = “Yuki Portal” ;
Travel Time = “Almost Instant” ;
Time Since Inari First Infected = “However long it took for things to play out on the ship”;
So either things on the ship took a lot longer than it seemed, the police response time in Japan is exceptional, or, given that the senior officer is clued up on Yuki being a kitsune, Yuki/Inari alerted the paranormal investigation dept. that something was about to go down before they went investigating.
@ Lord Verminus: Belvarius’s question arises based on whether or not Phil can be Portaled, due to his passive “I negate the negative effects of all magic affecting me” ability. From all previous information, the implication is that everyone assumes he can’t be, so nobody tries. I also assume that someone’s tested this, but we weren’t shown it so I can’t be certain.
Yeah, Phil can’t be teleported or use any portal they have been able to create. That’s why it was set up earlier that they would have someone on standby to pick Phil up. I skipped the pickup and travel because it doesn’t add much to the story.
