After making this page, I feel like this is similar to an Azumanga Daioh joke… God it’s been forever since I’ve seen or read that. still got the manga on the shelf though. And the DVDs, but I don’t have a DVD player. o_o;

This is funny and adorable, Engilish
She’ll probably need to know what just happened, to make sense of it for herself but also to report back to whomever gave her the task for the ritual.
I’m sure I’ll see a “how you do boop” or something at some point.
“Your boop instructor will be with you shortly.”
ENGLISH!
“Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.”
Kagura: “Uh, um … Yay!”
😀
Just play it on your PS2
At least she didn’t yell out engrish!
Japanese apparently uses a sound that’s effectively the midpoint between “L” and “R” that English speakers don’t know how to interpret. The use of “L’s” instead of “R’s” and “R’s” instead of “L’s” is typically intended to indicate that midpoint sound being used instead of what English itself uses.
Basically, this means that she likely had a good Latin-Origin Language teacher. Which is reinforced by her trying to call out variations of “wait” in (according to Google Translate) Spanish/Portuguese, French, German and Russian. Not sure why she didn’t default to English if she’s been on Earth for a while, though. It’s been one of the most widespread & thus common languages for a while.
They stopped and are paying attention. That was the result she wanted, so her communication was successful.
She looks so adorable!
Hailing frequensies opened.
Man, I remember when I first picked up the comic, it was nothing but Azumanga Daioh and chobits jokes. Talk about a throwback

a DVD player? you have a Console using CD’s?
A computer tower that… Should still have a CD drive..
but i guess you have a Drawing tablet or basic 2024 modern laptop ,, with only USB sockets
I have a nintendo switch, a custom built PC that- why would i put a disk drive in it? People do that these days? How many people actually put an optical drive in their Computers these days? Do any prebuilt systems come with DVD or Blueray players? Most cases dont even have slots to put disc drives in anymore XD
Yeah. The only computer I have with a built-in optical drive is my 14yr old laptop.
I have gotten a USB Blu-ray drive, though. I buy CDs from time to time, and didn’t realize a concert one I’d ordered wasn’t just DVD, but Blu-ray.
Why can’t they just send it on a USB stick? );
ME, I have that for the exact reason that physical media is MINE goddamnit XD
Just look up “External CD Player” or “External Blu-Ray Player”. All mighty Google will guide you to your prize.
I miss disk drives
I’m getting Coco from Witch Hat Atelier adorableness vibes from her. lol
I’m waiting for more of it to come out before i watch it. I wanna watch it like a movie XD
