I don’t get it either. You get sated by fat or meat, not starch as much. (But maybe a fat potato mash…)

Have you not seen the running gag since way back? During Thanksgiving, Shiden asked her to pass the potatoes. She tried and accidentally activated her rocket punch, dousing him in mashed potatoes. After that it became a whole big thing pretty much every year, since she was traumatized by potatoes.
Thanks! Was that what happened!? I didn’t understand the connection with the next year (likely since I was catching up and didn’t try to crosscheck everything).

And yes, checking 2 years back when the gag source was described by Sage (in 2010) seemed like a huge task at the time (flat archive, no metadata at the archive level). But human pattern recognition can shortcut some problems…
